Do you read multiple sources to get news?
Do you trust the major channels?
Is internet your main source?
What do your regard as reliable news sources?

I used to watch cable news, not at all anymore. Before that I read newspapers, almost never now.

My order of importance; Washington post online, NYT's online, the Economist mag, BBC online, Newshour on PBS, Slate.

Journalism is a sorry mess these days, the only way to survive as a news consumer is to have a well rounded diet including foreign sources, and to only look at the best.

Do you read multiple sources to get news? -YES

Do you trust the major channels? NO

Is internet your main source? NO

What do your regard as reliable news sources? I think that each media outlet has its own agenda. I read and listen as much as possible, and then cross my fingers, that when you remove all the bullshit, you will find a grain of truth.....................somewhere. Rolling Eyes

I try to do so. But mostly
a) the sources can be reduced to a few agencies/correspondants,
b) I only can understand a few languages.

I'm subscribed to some dozens newspapers, worldwide.
But I get their printed publication only online: Same with the agency's news [I would really like to have and to use a 'ticker' again  ] - so 'yes', the internet is my main source.

Thanks for your replies

Could anyone suggest news outlets that are genuinely non-partisan?

Or are all news sources controlled by one group or another?

Is there no such thing as impartial news?

Are all either liberal or conservative.

Which news outlet/source/paper/chanel do you consider the post impartial and relaible for balanced reporting?

I would be interested to know if I have overlooked any.

I think because Im a humanist and probably best described as a 'liberal' I tend to go for like minded journalists, does that mean I am not getting a balanced view?

Do we naturally read journalists that agree with our world view?
