Do you want to make an argument or not?

To which Cyclopichorn answered:
Quote:

No - I don't believe that you are interesting enough to discuss this with, and am going to move on to a different topic.

However, one can only argue with a person who accepts the same definitions as you do. Furthermore, one can not argue with someone who unambiguously states that the only thing that matters is what he (?) says. Facts are totally unnecessary to this poster, who seems a cross between massagatto and high seas.

@plainoldme,
You misquote what someone else says, then complain about people misquoting you?

@mysteryman,
But if one was misquoted and the other was not does that make sense not to complain on both issues????

@xris,
POM claims that she gets misquoted every time somebody challenges her, then she misquotes someone be omitting part of what they said.

A lie (or misquote) by ommission is still a lie (or a misquote).
Either quote everything someone said, or none of it.
But dont use part of a quote to try and make your point.
That would be both dishonest and unethical.

POM accuses me of misquoting her all the time, but when I post her exact words, she refuses to respond.
Why is that?

@plainoldme,
Because you used PART of the statement, instead of the entire statement.

@mysteryman,
You, like many righties, have trouble following a thread and you don't simply misquote, you accuse me of saying things I never said. Often, what you claim I said is the opposite of my statement. And, sugar, you are lying now because you NEVER post my exact words. You did once and then apologized for misquoting me.

I cut and pasted the part of EmperorNEro . . . perhaps, massagatto . . . perhaps, high seas . . . where the person said only the words count. Set in context, the quotation becomes much worse.

You just don't get it but, if you did get it, you would be a liberal.

@plainoldme,
You claim I misquote you, and have never posted your exact words.
You wouldnt want to make a small bet on that, would you?

Here are some examples...

Heres one of your posts from the thread "Arizona can bite my chalupa"
This post was made on Fri 16 july at 10:04pm.
You made this accusation againt all conservatives...

Quote:
Yahoo news carried a report that more Mexicans are dying in the AZ desert this year than last year.

Dead spicks ought to make the righties happy

Now, are you gonna deny saying that?

Now here is another example.

You said, on Sat 10 July, on the Obama thread...
Quote:

He underlined lawfully earn. Well, I have never dealt drugs. The most widely used drug today might be crystal meth, cooked by RIGHT WING CONSERVATIVES in rural areas across the nation.

You then said...
Also on the Obama thread

Quote:
And, anyone who denies the presence of the right in the big time drug trade is naive.

Also on the Obama thread was this...
Quote:
Or in small time drug dealing. Think of all those folks cooking crystal meth. They are not educated, not elite and not leftists.

Then when I challenged her with this statement...
Quote:
So are you saying that nobody on the left sells drugs, makes illegal drugs, or uses illegal drugs?

And since you seem to be saying that those people that make meth are uneducated, I suggest you back that up with some facts.

You like to make that sort of claim, so lets see you back it up.

Her response was that I misquoted her...
Quote:
Don't ever think of misquoting me and don't ever write to me with a pseudo-sophisticated leading sentence like that

Now, its difficult to take her seriously when she constantly claims to have been misquoted,

Lets use your own words to answer that.

From the Obama thread, posted on Sun July 11...

Quote:
How can you isolate and cut and paste a piece of writing from another . . . so that the referred writing accompanies your own response . . .then say the quoted individual says the opposite of what he actually wrote???!!!

So you cut and pasted a piece of what was written, then claimed it meant exactly opposite of what was written.

@mysteryman,
The first quote:
No, stupid, I will not deny saying that. IS that your famous POM says all righties statement?

Sugar, it is satire. It points out several failings of the American right and, here, I am advisedly speaking of the broad spectrum of right wing politics which tend to be self-contradictory.

Why are you selecting something that does not prove your point? If you quoted that to me, I didn't see it.

@mysteryman,
The second quote, the crystal meth quote:

Those who cook crystal meth at the amateur level . . . the ones that law enforcement officers pursue . . . tend to be Bible Belt conservatives. There are big time professional manufacturers who are often scientists but most of the production takes place in rural kitchens.

@mysteryman,
How does the third quote fit your thesis? Do you think people on the right are free from sin, original or non-original? People on the right do trade drugs. In fact, in high schools, some of the worst drug problems show up in conservative families. This again does not fit your thesis.
