this is Rhodocrosite and african pink opal with a little bitty red CZ dangling. It's closed with a marcusite toggle clasp......but you can't see that part in the photo
I agree - you're doing great!
thanks to you all..........
Here's where I work lately. It's also my closet. I get up and brush my teeth and go to work in here. It's a great life.
and one last one. It's the one I'm working on now. It also has a bracelet. It's Laboradorite and sunstone.
You're very welcome Lola.
I love working with all kinds of crafts, so I envy you for having my dream job :-D
it's amazing that I might actually turn something this much fun into a business. Is New Brunswick near Vancouver? Sorry, I have to apologize for being a sort of geography dunce.......and I know it's the oblivious U.S. thing. I'm amazed how little I actually know about Canada. But I'll soon be a resident.....so I better learn. Anyway, if you're ever near by, some see us and we can play with beads and stuff.
Good night all. Time for bed for me.
I'm so glad you're having fun with your work. There's no better way to live in my opinion.
Unfirtunately, you'll be far far away from New Brunswick, but that's what's so great about having A2K so we can share all this exciting stuff with eachother :-D
I'll be looking forward to see how things progress in your adventure in Vancouver :-D
Cheers and nighty night Lola :-D
Lola, you are a natural. Your jewelry looks like you: stylish, sophisticated and fun.
God how I wish I had more discretionary income!
Yeah, you and me both Diane!
Great to see you girl :-D
Well, that is good news, Lola! If you hadn't already decided to market your designs, I was going to suggest it.
Vancouver should be a good place for this. My sister (very creative) lives in Anacortes, between Seattle and Vancouver, so I visit there semi-regularly. Lots of creative, artistic types up there. You'll have loads of inspiration.
Never would have expected you to leave NYC so soon, though, after all the planning you did to get there. Whaddya know...Life is funny.
oh dear.........I did something wrong. I won't bother anyone with the details but I'll repost some of the photos. Since I can't edit the other pages, I'll just do it again.
This one is sunstone, ocean jasper, apricot moonstone with organza ribbon. I like it, but it was too much work.
ocean jasper and sunstone
this is one of my favorites.........I wear it all the time. It's mother of pearl and apricot moonstone. I apparently like the sun, moon and ocean. How girlish of me........
This is my first really successful attempt. It's been a favorite of mine for several months now since it was born. It's elephant jasper and red hair agate. Call me obsessive.....which I can be........but I really like playing with rocks and gems. Something about my character, I'm sure.
I know this is a lot of photos, but I'm a proud mama. It's cornelian with dalmation jasper and sterling silver. The names of stones are almost as much fun as working with them. Actually this is three different necklaces.
One side effect of all this is that I'm perfectly safe in any jewelry store. No will power needed. I have so much jewelry now. I don't copy, but sometimes I'm inspried by something I see that I want for myself. But copying is boring.
blue peruvian opal and amber agate.
apricot moonstone yellow african opal and ocean jasper.......and I have to confess, I don't know what those white stones are
here's where I work.......in my closet. How appropriate.
and here's my current, for sure favorite It's turquoise and hessonite garnet
chalcedony (pronounced Cal Sydney), and ocean jasper
