The honeymoon will take place when we can afford one....and no telling how long that will be. But when we have the money, we'll certainly enjoy visiting all our European friends. In what sort of joint do you hang out Thomas?

Ahem ... Embarrassed ... to be honest, I never left the 300 square foot apartment I inhabited as a post-grad student. But hey, why don't you and Bernie sleep in the bathtub together? You're welcome at my place anytime!

I have a better idea, Thomas. Let Lola and Blatham sleep on your futon and maybe you can try the bathtub. Smile

The bathtub option is out. It's filled with gin.

In reference to Harriet Martineau, I think Darwin's comment was that he was surprised how ugly she was. He was surprised because she had so many admirers. That's my understanding anyway.

That seems to suggest that he used the words "natural selection" like a veil and was unaware of the actual processes involved.

There's plenty of room here in the suite in the West-wing although it is under permanent surveillance. And everything is a bit slipshod to say the least of it although we don't do outside footwear indoors and we abhor shrieking noises after midnight.

Have you seen those videos on You Tube of the maestro performing Ain't Talkin' and Summer Days. The latter is electrifying.

You both have my best wishes obviously.

(coming late to the party, but bearing the most impressive present to piss everybody else off) What, wedding bells over New York? How romantic! And it couldn't happen to a nicer couple.

Our humble abode is also at your service of course, Bernie and Jane. We may be further away from most other parts of Europe, but as we're in the best part, that doesn't matter. And in a plane, you don't notice distances.

Wait a minute. Who do you think I am -- someone hospitable?

Don't worry Thomas...........I know you and your unhospitable ways. Actually, I think you misunderstood me anyway. Presumptive nig nog that you are. I was thinking of Spendi's pub and wondered in what sort of establishment you hang out. Drinking and smoosing with the ladies and such.

How delightful to hear this news. Worthy of rejoicing. Much and even greater happiness to two of the best people we have met on the planet.

PDiddie, How nice to see you! Thanks for the well wishes. Have you been around and I haven't seen you?......which wouldn't be difficult since I haven't been around much lately.

Not much, Lola. Do send us an invitation to the affair, please. We'll do our best to be in attendance (if that's what you wish).
