All correct? Or half of them are acceptable mistakes?

2 and 4 wrong, and not an acceptable mistake/ acceptable mistakes.

To use "a" means you are talking about one thing only.

Unless you have something tricky in mind, like measle spots, "a group of diseases" is the correct form.
