Sentence:

Which of the following favours organic bowel disease rather than a functional condition, such as irritable bowel syndrome?

My confusion: before function condition, there is an a, but before organic bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome, there're no article at all. Do you think it is a good sentence?

Thanks in advance!

PS: As to the expression of my question, do you think I need there are no article or there is no article?

Yes it is a good sentence. You do not need an article before a type of disease (organic bowel disease) or a specific condition (irritable bowel syndrome), but you do need one before the phrase "functional condition".
