If is was saying

Les hommes, en general, sont formidable.

Would I put an S after the e in formidable? to make it:

Les hommes, en general, sont formidables.

I don't know if I am supposed to add an s to make adjectives plural or not.

Thanks

You must have just started out studying French.

The answer is "yes". Adjectives have plural and singular forms. Some also have masculine and feminine forms to agree with the noun they are describing.

But not always an 's'. the plural of beau is beaux for example. You need to ask your teacher or get a good French grammar book.

If this is from your textbook, it appears that i was written by a non-native speaker of French, very likely a native speaker of English, with a limited grasp of the French language.

Ce sont des mecs.

Sont-ce réellement des mecs, ces hommes formidables?

(L'homme est une femme comme les autres).

I already replied to him, it's obvious he can read, but not so obvious you can, or the thread would of ended with his post.

Why do I think this guy is going to have some problems with language learning?

Also, nobody noticed my ants joke.
Sad

I really like my French class. My teacher has a doctorate in French and lived there for 20 years, so she is a little hard, but it's an enjoyable language to learn(unlike Spanish). By the way, I have an A. Your hindsight is excellent contrex.

I saw it, but I don't think 'blinded' did.

Just a reader here. I don't know french, though I tend to be able to read at least parts of menus. Can't pronounce even those words correctly, though.
I suppose I could try to learn some of the basics online, one of these days.
In high school I took four years of latin, while most of my pals took 2 of latin and 2 of french. I rue the day...

On the other hand, I got to play Cato in a school play and wear a sheet. (It was a girls' school, thus the casting.)
