Good grief, it IS Friday! Thanks for reminding me, mismi. Hard to get too excited I guess as I have to work this weekend. (I get Monday off...yay...)

I'm trying to be good to my feet, Izzie, but it's a never ending battle. I'm starting to get more hours at work now that all the Christmas crap, er stuff, has arrived and the big sales are starting. I have an anti-inflammatory that I try not to take too often but I don't plan on being a martyr over the next couple of months.

@Izzie,
Whiling Saturday night away with a drink and doing my favourite crosswords. A2K threads very quiet presently after checking every now and then, time-zones play havoc in this regard. Time in London 10.30am right now, so better knock on the Captain Cabin and find out if she is awake yet. Knock, knock, anybody there? Smile

@Barry The Mod,
Hey Crew

Had a fantastic phone call with MaMaVerby

The tiny fella has been taken off the ventilator and is breathing on his own. There's a liklihood he will need to go back on, but, he has taken his first few breaths on his own Very Happy and this is an enormous step. He is being given oxygen thru his nose, again, this is such a huge step for such a little guy Very Happy He is being scanned (now, actually) and the docs will then decide whether he is strong enough to undergo the operation, what needs to be done and how soon they can do it.

MaMaVerby sounded wonderful again. She's tired and very anxious about the surgery - as yet, she has not been able to hold her little boy - I think everyone would understand how very hard this is for them - she is able to hold his hand thru the incubator and touch him but he has lots of tubes and she's isn't able to cuddle him just yet. Holding his hand is important tho - very - he know's she is there.

Eby has had to return to work but is with her as and when he can be and is very supportive.

She wanted to thank everyone again and says she believes that everyones prayers, hopes and ommms are making a difference. It makes a difference to her.

Ahhhhhhhh... she's a sweetheart. I will hope and wish and pray and ommm that they can do the surgery as soon as they need to and that she will get to hold her little boy very soon. Suffice it to say, anything can happen - in the same breath - anything is possible and this little one is getting all the help of many doctors and nurses... and actually, the crew's help too. He's got a real fighting chance here.

Keep on doing... prayers, wishes, hopes and ommmmmmmmms.

@Barry The Mod,

Bazza - thanku darlin' - we do intend on going up to London Town over the Christmas break so will hopefully get to spend some time with you. G wishes me to spend Christmas Day with him and his kids.... (I'm not sure they wish that) - it's difficult - I don't know what R-boy is gonna do right now, he won't talk to me and ex only wishes to see S-boy on Christmas Day... so.... I just don't know yet what to do. My parents need consideration too... ohhhhh... lalallalllllllllllllalallallal can't think about it. I'm gonna upset more than one person and don't know how to deal with that. lalalllllllllllalallalalalllalaaaaaa

trivial in the "bigger picture", just spinning me a bit right now. Razz

No worries tho. Very Happy

@Izzie,
I'm really glad to hear good news about verbivore and her little baby. She must be so full of worry and feel so helpless at times. There's nothing worse when your own child is ill Sad I'm still sending positives for baby and thoughts of strength for mom...she will need it.

@wandeljw,
Morning crew, nice to read about verbivore's son's progress, must be all our prayers and positive vibes which are doing the trick. Captain Izzie you are to be commended for keeping us abreast with the news. Went for my beach walk very early today, 5.30am, as another hot day is in the making. Keeping my eyes open for blue boy as a number of ladies are looking for him I believe. Wink Laughing

@Dutchy,
Yeah....my fluffy parts are a pretty popular subject to Dutchy. Rolling Eyes I should stop encouraging this behavior. Wink

Went to a beautiful wedding tonight...had the best time laughing at the reception. Some friends of mine from Auburn were there - some I hadn't seen in almost 10 years. One particular friend (fellow) reminds me of you Dutchy - loves to tease me relentlessly. Maybe that's why I haven't seen himn in 10 years.

I am tired now...going to bed.

Y'all are a sweet bunch you are. Hopefully I will see you tomorrow.
hugs and kisses
