@FlavourQueen,
Morning crew and a special hello to our FlavourQueen, my schatzi, good to see you. Wink Seems you're running full speed again, Germany, renovating house. Congratulations on daughters achievement, taking after Mum eh.

Mismi stop reading more into my posts than is good for you, there are lots of oceans between me and the rest of the gang. Laughing

Izzie what are you and your hospitable host upto today? Made it to the top of the Sears Tower? Hope you kept a diary of the places you have been to so we can Google them and share some of your experiences. JPD make sure Izzie gets enough sleep!

Friday shopping to be done, so I'm off for a while. Be back later.

@Dutchy,
We arranged to meet joefromchicago at K's workplace (a full 4 blocks from the train station). He waited patiently as Iz and M's b-friend found an occasional need to stop and snap a pic or two (or two hundred).

We hugged and yabbered a bit and decided we'd better all move back towards the train station and hang out there for our trip back north. It appears there were a couple hundred shots not taken the first time that just HAD to be snapped on the way back (who knew?)

I imagine you will see an example or two of our adventure.

Rock's headed back now. Safe journeys, hun. I'm glad you were here.

@Izzie,
Hi Izzie just saw your post come in, Bosun on watch and keeping track of you. Smile Hope you feel ok. when you wake up in the morning, probably a few stomach nerves, different food, excited about meeting new people etc. Glad you kept a photo diary, don't worry about posting now, do it at your leisure when you're home again. "walk limp" worries me, take care. (((Izzie)))

@Izzie,
Hey Izzie and crew,

We are back, getting over the terrible jet lag and boy was the journey boring, tedious etc.

S girl is still getting her dressings done at docs but they are healing. She had to have antibiotics in Oz which helped I reckon. Mean while I have torn my achilles tendon and my ankle is strapped and supported and boy does it hurt, don't ask how I did it!

Well have loads of pics to show but just still cann't work how to put them on must be dumb in this area! Will wait for Iz to show me, I'm sure it is simple.

Weather here is rain, rain and more rain yuk! Well wishing you all well and must have a party when the Captain is back! X

I had the most exciting afternoon in a long time. I met the beautiful, charming Izzie IN PERSON! It was like meeting a movie star. Her son is also very cute. I can see why Shewolf's daughter was always trying to kiss him. Somewhere in Texas, a little girl's heart is pining for that boy from England.

Cicerone Imposter and Joefromchicago were with us. Everything was arranged by the amazing JPB. Izzie will have more details. I think the photos will wait until she returns home.

@wandeljw,
I bet you did Wandel. Sounds wonderful.

Good day - accomplished very little though - in the middle of a book. I should have never picked it up at lunch.

The Prof's going to think all I do is sit around and eat chocolate and read books. Shocked He's be right - at least about today. I gotta quit getting these books at the library. I can't do anything else once I get started.

Hope all you dear Yabberers are doing well. I will see you all tomorrow.
hugs!

@mismi,
Good morning crew, sounds like the Captain had a wonderful afternoon with her a2k friends, no doubt we'll see the result in pictures. Smile

mismi I think the Prof. is right, you're full of bright ideas first thing in the morning, then accomplish very little during the day, no wonder you're 'behind' in everything and piling it up, right there. Razz

Weekend has started here, so best wishes to all.

QueenDev is coming on into the city - girls nite .... pooooooooooor S-boy!

Just wanna say that we are so glad that Rockhead got home safely - we were worried about him driving back - he drove back thru the nite after a long roadtrip and must be so tired - thanku for everything you did Rock and putting us up... or putting up with us - ha! Thanku so much for all you did xx

@Izzie,
Izzie, you can post any photo of me that you want to. It was a coincidence that we were near the location where my older daughter took part in the filming of "The Lake House". I remembered chatting about that movie with you.

S-boy has a crush on an older woman (JPB's daughter)? Your son is a sharp boy. Sometimes he speaks very "American" and will probably leave behind many girl fans in the U.S.

SO glad RH made it home safe. Wouldn't mind hearing that voice again either! I have been "tippling" - I think that is what dear RH calls it...I need to go sit on the couch - or lay down on the bed...it was just two glasses but sheesh....

Dear Izzie, I would walk a thousand miles to see one of your smiles; however, I may be a Wall Street dirt farmer but my Maybach Exelero Concours d'Elegance is a strict mistress and her allure is too strong.

The trouble is: Chicago only has 2 seasons " winter and road work. Um, it’s not a joke and I have calculated that temperatures can vary as much as 200°. I have seen -80° wind chills in winter and 120° heat indices in summer. Often it is colder there than in Alaska.

Therefore, should you ever find yourself near Léta de la Lwizyàn you just come on in and make yourself at home. XxX

Oh Missy, turn away from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune rendered to your badonkadonk by a rampant Dutchy…

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?

Remember; procrastination is the art of placing tremendous importance on useless and mundane actions, to avoid doing required tasks. While there is no formula for successful procrastination, don't worry. If you spend all your time worrying about the work you haven't done, then you aren't enjoying your procrastination. Just let your mind rest, knowing that there is an excellent chance you are saving the planet by reducing energy loss.

Access your favorite forum at least once in a half hour, and while checking out the posts, refresh the page every two seconds to check for new replies. This should pretty much keep you busy throughout the day and keep you from doing real work…

Sorry about the mix-up…Dutchy said you had three kids " I assumed you liked goats. If only he had said ‘children’. Say Hi to the Professor for me…and tell him I still say he is too short to slam dunk!

From Brookie and I…Have a good weekend everybody.

Ps, Good to see you safely back at home Tulip, look forward to your suntanned pictures!

Pps. Hug Wandel for me!

Izzie
