@Dutchy,
Thought I would actually write this time, I do pop in and read but don't write as often have a loss for words! Well been awake for a while and couldn't sleep so did an Izzie! Came down and made tea and put on computer and A2K!

Sometimes just need a bit of company, sometimes not, have been a real loner lately and just wanted to shut my self away, as well as having a cold. Yesterday my son tells me he has lost his trainers at school or he left them somewhere and someone has taken them. I got so mad and angry and know I can not afford to buy another decent pair for a while! I ended up unable even to talk to him without getting angry and I know this is wrong. Then he asks me for money for school to do some cooking and I just had to say no I cannot afford it, ok it was only 80p but he needs to understand I am doing it on my own with very little income! I feel really up tight and angry, so will get dressed and take the dog out in the cold!

I do hope everyone is ok. Izzie hope the de- stitching goes ok and thanks for your help yesterday! Have a good Xmas party tonight X

@annis,
Hi Tulip so nice to see you, you have been missed but we knew from Izzie you were still around. Don't shut yourself completely away Tulip, come and talk to the folks here, they're good listeners. Completely understand your position and realise the little things you're experiencing can make you feel inadequate. Hang in there, times will change for the better, take care.

@verbivore,
Hi verbivore, wishing you and hubby a great weekend. The heavens have opened here and it has literally been gold from the sky. Long awaited rains have soaked our entire State. Some places have had their first rain in seven years, the whole outback is inaccesible, with quite a few tourists stranded. Will take a few days to get them out. Unusual for this time of the year but we're not complaining.

((((( Tulip ))))) Please keep posting. Sometimes when we hurt, this is the best place to unload. You have had such a hard time over the past year. Wish there was something I could do.

To the rest of the crew .... have a great day! And you, Dutchy, have a great sleep!

Off to campus in 30 minutes to take my last exam. Yay!

Brooke, I am glad the strain of the exams is finally over, and we can all look forward to celebrating your success " No pressure! Wink

I hope you will now consider putting up the tree and the rest of the decorations.

Tulip, you can be assured you are never far from our thoughts and prayers; and you find a path to a second life of peace and fulfilment. I know you can, you only have to convince yourself.

Izzie, every cloud has a silver lining, and the sun shines 24/7; whatever the news, you will exceed expectations and remain an inspiration to all.

May it continue to rain on your parade in OZ, I know you are short of the wet stuff.

I hope the rest of the crew are getting pretty excited at the forthcoming festive holidays.

I would also like to register my dismay at the miserable retort of the pink dude over the missed once in a life time opportunity, viz:

“…I’m going out to blow the yard…”

“You must have big lungs…”

What a wuss! That sucks; is that the best you could come up with?

BTW; I would guess Missy tops the scale at around 98 pounds.*

@Tryagain,
There you are Try...Tryst really did wuss out. Even the scale bit was weak ...at best!

I will just let you all continue to guess...age and weight - nunya. Wink

Try - how are you? Having a good week? Working all weekend too? You need a vacation.

Tulip - my thoughts are with you. I can't imagine how hard it must be...but you keep on - you are strong and you continue to amaze me. Do come and share when you can...I know at times there are just no words and it is exhausting trying to frame anything but what you truly feel. But we are here and want to hear. ((TULIP))

Izzie - how's you honey? I know you have a lot before you - sorry to hear about the surg. - This time maybe it will work for good. Praying so - hoping you and S have a wonderful weekend. Take care of you.

Beth - I hope work is going well. I saw where you got to go out and eat the other night...sounded fabulous. Wishing you a wonderful weekend as well.

Verby, Dutchy, Brooke, Dev (miss you), DeeDee (worthy adversary! Wink) And all the rest of the crew - hugs and kisses...have a wonderful weekend and I will see you all later...I'm off to party!

Hello Izzie and crew.
Tis the season, to be jolly.
Earlier in the week, I took my better half away, and north ,for a suprise birthday adventure.. I was suprised too, when it snowed twenty eight inches. Snowed in, two days. Doritos never tasted so good.
I forgot my new camera. If I was double jointed......
Good day.

@alex240101,
Alex! Well...I am glad you made it home...sounds like fun being snowed in with your honey. All you had to eat was Doritos? That's tough for a foodie - though I like Doritos too...and if you were double jointed you would what?

Hey, hey, hey, crew! Hope this finds everyone in good spirits!

I'm bein' lazy in my skibbies! Came home and made a nice big batch of Irish Creme and ... lovin it! With just a wee-bit-a crushed ice. That's gonna be my evening! I'm pretty sure that somewhere I read that Miss Izz likes Baileys, so I'm gonna give you my recipe. It's soooooo good!

l lg. can Eagle Brand
4 eggs
2 Tbsp. Chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
8 oz. Irish Whiskey ......
Mix it up good in a blender and enjoy! I use Michael Collins or Bushmills for the Irish Whisky. Imagine you can you use something different if'in ya like.
Just try not to drink the whole thing at once! Drunk (hiccups)

Try .... I am in the decorating mood! But just not tonight. I'm lazy. Although I did put some lights up, going up the stairs, this morning before I had to head to class. The more I look at it ....the more it's gonna make me wanna get a tree up. Maybeeee this weekend. We'll see.

@JustBrooke,
First up my lovelies... you know I love you...
My medical foofahfeh thread is here...
http://able2know.org/topic/125564-3#post-3502858
Doctor rang as I was leaving tonite.... NOT MALIGNANT.... dodgy cells " but all cut out. Thanku all, your posivibes did it. You’re all part of my life.... therefore my recovery... so I truly thank you. On the next little step - auditioning for a cast to commence after the new year!!!!! HA!

Now...
Tonite... well, OMGoodGollyMissMollyMalone...and three Haily Mary’s... in case anyone was listening!
I have never been so scared in my entire life. Seriously. I am still shaking.
I have been stuck in flood waters on a bridge with the river rising rapidly.
The car died on me when the engine went under water. I had dropped off one colleague and the roads were completely flooded, then had to drop off another one of my colleagues..... leaving two of us in the car. We tried to cross the bridge... we failed. This was 1am... it’s now 3.30 - we couldn’t open the doors coz the water was too high, so we wound the windows down and took off our belts... just in case the water surged..... hold crap " scary stuff.....then we phoned Lorraine and Joe (local farmer) who got down to us and had to push the car of the bridge (we were so close to phoning 999)!. Meanwhile, Jeanette and I sat in the car..... crapping ourselves. I have never driven in floods like this.... the adrenaline is still pumping. I made it home " took me over an hour and half to do less than 20 miles. I had been worrying about my river.... I had reason too. The bottom of my garden is flooded and the field, which is lower than my house the other side of the river is flooded.... it is sooooooooooooooo loud. Seriously, I’m scared. Its amazing how fear kicks in when water is concerned.

The bridge is a very rural bridge... you know, no sides or anything. We are used to it flooding.... but as we had already made it across to drop her off, we didn’t expect not to be able to get back up. It was too dangerous to make her walk .... however, she and her husband came down kitted out and managed to push us up into some mud, where at least the engine was free from water. The electrics just..... stopped.
Out of the car window

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1090567-1.jpg

Doesn’t look too fast here... IT WAS

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1090569-1.jpg

It took us 20 mins or so to get the car restarted after many many attempts " Joe followed us to the top of the road and back onto main roads " you couldn’t even see the catseyes in the middle, in places the water was feet beep...... then I had head to Okehampton and drop Jeanette home, then back on my tiny roads.... just flooded throughout...

I can’t remember the last time I was that scared. I am scared too right now. It is so loud here and the rain isn’t letting up " the river has risen by at least 4-5 feet.... it’s huge, loud, roaring..... the trees the kids play on are underwater... my steps are .....gone... mmmmm.... unbelievable amount of rain.

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1090593-1.jpg

I MEAN LOUD!!!!!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhesssssssssssssshhhh " pretty extreme measure for a car wash a????? Sure it will look lovely and spankly new in the morning.

Sh1te scary folks, won’t recommend that for any kind of thrill. Such a whuss. Well, actually, you know I find those things kinda exciting in a perverse sorta way.... this really wasn’t exciting " this was scary stuff.

Evening, other than that little bit of over excitement... now feeling wasted and tired.... was enjoyable enough... deep fried camabert and brie with reducurrant jelly... mmmmmmm mmmmmmm good. Saw 3 people I knew... hid... stooped a? Nem’mind.

gosh... didn't think I would sleep.... but my eyes are closing...

will say nite now, incase I tumble over... have the heating on and all the lights... do that when I'm nervous... weird a?

HA!

i love y'all crew. Thanku for always being here. x

(too tired to check back... ack... ignore any mistakes)

Just wanted to say thankyou to all your support everyone.....you are the very best.

Brooke " so glad exams are over " go enjoy sister. Missy " hows the visiting little guys glued head? All OK? How did the Messiah go???????? Bet you were fab. Love you girlies.

Blue... ah... love you too buddy! X0x
