Is comma needed?

Hi Contrex

The other members are teaching me the way Americans would punctuate.

Talking about the ending of the letter, do we have to insert a comma after 'sincerely'.

Dear Contrex

I thank you for guiding me all along.

Yours sincerely (Is it necessary to insert a comma after 'sincerely'?)

Not nowadays, imho

It's not needed, but it's not wrong to put it in.

I already told you "no". (I think). Neither necessary nor desirable.

Maybe not in Britain, but the comma is common practice in Canada and the U.S.

Thanks, Intrepid.

Americans often differ from the British in English.

I think it is common practice in Britain too, about 50/50. My accountant uses it but my bank doesn't. The choice is yours.
