What does he think about the way she kisses?

He thinks that she kisses passionately and in a lovely way.

Are these natural to say?

I believe the above sentence is wrong. It should be "Are the above sentences correct?"

Is there any other way to phrase the sentence?

Many thanks.

I would never ask "Are these natural to say?" I might ask "Do these sentences sound natural when spoken aloud?".

If I were asking about the sentences as examples of written English, I might ask "Are these sentences grammatically correct?"

Do these sentences sound natural when spoken aloud?"

"Do these sentences sound natural?" (Is "when spoken aloud' obligatory?)

Many thanks.

I would add "when spoken aloud" for clarity, because all sentences are silent when they are written on paper. You did not make it absolutely clear whether you were asking about the sentences as spoken or written.

Hi Contrex

I mean 'when written', so said aloud would be unnecessary.

Am I correct?

My point is that written sentences cannot "sound natural", because writing is silent, it consists of ink marks on paper; it makes no sound. Written sentences might "look natural", I suppose, or they might "seem natural", maybe.
