In the very near future, Nabisco plans on stopping production of their Oreo cookies.

Kicky, try the ho-ho's when you're not stoned. You may change your mind.

Just kidding.

Gus, I feel the same way about Twinkies. I used to adore them as a kid but now I can't understand why.

Some kids put a package of TWinkies in a school "Time capsule" over in Quarryville. I think that they will have the class of 2107 dig it up and they will probably be able to share the Twinkies.

I also noticed they've started making the hostess fruit pies like huge or something. My mom used to put one of those in my lunch every single day- either a cherry or apple

That's another thing... those friggin pies. The last time I had one (lemon) I bit into the pie and the whole thing crumbled and exposed a hollow center with what appeared to be a hardened mass of what I imagine was the lemon filling. I bet if I had shook it beforehand it would have sounded like a maraca.

Thanks for the warning. I was gonna try one for old time's sake and to introduce my children to a piece of my childhood - but they were either HUGE, or you had to buy a whole box or something (I can't remember which now) and I knew I wouldn't like them enough to take more than one or two bites of even one, so I said, forget it...I'll just savor my memories...

(I went to the store and tried to find Yankee Doodles - but I could only find Devil Dogs. That was about two hours ago... we've eaten them - the box is gone. You have to understand - this stuff is a big treat for us, I never buy this stuff and when I do it's like..."Wow, mom bought us something really junky for once- Hurray! Little do they know I grew up on it Laughing )

Oreos are one of the few things that have retained their original taste. I might just go have one.

That was when you were young and crazy, littlek. I am sure you now use the proper pronunciation.

That reminds me - I also like the butterscotch Tasty cake cupcakes-I wonder if they still have them. Next time I'm in the Philly area, I'll have to check it out.

Be sure to ask at the counter. If they have them, they will be hidden and sold only to the true cupcake connoisseurs such as those present on this thread.
