An elderly woman is on her way to attend a lecture by Martin Luther King.

He's in a bar, drunk, during the Christmas holidays. A woman, also tipsy, blows straw wrappers in his direction to get his attention.
Another hint: the woman he loves throws her compact at her married lover and cracks the mirror. She likes it that way. "It makes me look the way I feel."
