Manchurian Candidate (strange mother)
Not Manchurian Candidate, but good tie-in. But, this tie-in has nothing to do with the plot.
Not Cleopatra, but you're on the right track.
I'm running out of floozies!
Well, many called her a floozy in this one, but she was also a free-spirited artist.
That's what I like about you, Raggedy -- you always see people in the most charitable light!
The Sandpiper?
Ahhh, Liz Taylor, so many floozies to choose from!
Aah. I'm sorry for the delay.
Yes to The Sandpiper. (And I liked that movie.
)
That was Liz and Dick, right? Never seen it from start to finish.
EOE: That was Liz and Dick and the scenery of Big Sur was so beautiful, I took a trip there. It featured the song, The Shadow of Your Smile, one, among so many, of my favorites.
I haven't seen The Sandpiper since it came out, in 1965. I was a teenager at the time, and my best friend had a big crush on Richard Burton, so we had to see it. It was one of the racier movies I had seen up to then, so I was pretty impressed with it!
Inbetweener (no tie-in to the previous movie that I'm aware of)
A writer is typing on a typewriter, near an open window. The writing isn't going well: several times, the writer pulls a piece of paper from the typewriter, crumples it up in disgust, and throws it on the floor. Finally, the writer's frustration reaches such a pitch that the typewriter gets thrown out the window.
Not Rear Window or The Shining
It sounds so familiar. I'll take a guess..."Paris When it Sizzles"?
Not Breakfast at Tiffany's or Paris When It Sizzles
That's already more than three guesses, so I'll leave a hint for you to ponder while I'm at lunch.
Hint: I carefully worded the description of the scene to avoid using any pronouns, so as not to reveal the writer's gender.
