Two young women push a very old man through backstage hustle and bustle onto a darkened stage. There is a fanfare. He stands. The audience laughs at him and applauds for him even though they cannot see him. He remembers. He smiles. Then there are tears in his eyes. The tears roll down his cheeks. He turns to the audience in the darkness. Applause.
