Yes Indeed, Hiama. From Here to Eternity is correct. Did I say too much?
You could never say too much, it is a really lovely film and one very close to my heart.
Now try this "....He meets an old friend from the train and walks alongside the track with him, he talks away to his old friend in a calm and friendly manner, despite the barely organised chaos around him which he is doing his best to keep under control......"
Newbie around 20 or so years ago
wild guess Silver Streak?
Nope, I understand the logic though.
No logic here, except it must be between 1981 and 1984.
And the only movies I can remember during that period are:
Gandhi - (he was let off at the next station because of prejudice)
A Passage to India
Once Upon a Time in America
Hint, Please.
Sorry, went away for the weekend.
Once upon a time in America is not correct , though it is of that genre, the phrase does however describe the film in question brilliantly. Not a popular film.
Reds?
Julia?
Once Upon a Time in the West? (C'era una volta il West)
I hope you had a nice weekend away, hiama.
More hints please!
Hi Mac,
Nice break thanks
Sort of a western, sleighted by the critics as no other film has been, unfairly in my opinion (thats way too many hints Hiama-slow down boy)
Raggedy got it -not such a bad film really. I thught visually it was great and up until half way was half decent.
Except for the violence toward the end,I too though Heaven's Gate was a good movie, Hiama. I thought it was chopped up too much (probably because of the length), but I saw it on TV and that really placed it at a disadvantage.
(1960-1980)
It's his birthday. His suit has been dry-cleaned for the very first time. He heads out the door of the boarding house never to return. His tombstone lies across the bed.
Yes. Very dramatic. I just watched it yesterday on TV.
Yes. The Shootist is correct. Did you watch it on AMC, too, Max?
Nope, I just went through the tv guide and guessed!
Its her birthday, and her whole family has forgotten.
Now that's what I call research!
