29. Stealing Home (Mark Harmon, Jodie Foster)

Ok, do the titles need to have a connection to the theme or is it the subject matter of the movie that should have a connection? I.e., how about Bats, Great Balls of Fire, Striking Distance, Fever Pitch?

Good question, Mac. I like the idea of both title and subject connections.

Since baseball was bree's choice, and she used "Fever Pitch" (No. 23), let's continue with both connections. (title and subject)

Let's shoot for 50.

1. Eight Men Out
2. Pride of the Yankees
3. Angels in the Outfield
4. The Natural (one of my favorites)
5. Field of Dreams
6. Bull Durham
7. Bingo Long's Traveling Allstars & Motor Kings

9. The Stratton Story
10. Fear Strikes Out
11. Cobb
12. The Pride of the Yankees (Lou Gehrig)
13. Damn Yankees

15. Take Me Out to the Ball Game
16. The Pride of St. Louis

38. The Kid from Left Field
39. For Love of the Game
40. Game 6

(Game 6 is a movie with Michael Keaton that was released earlier this year. It sounded good, but it came and went so quickly that I didn't have a chance to see it.)

The 1988 comedy "The Naked Gun" may qualify for the baseball list. The last half of the movie took place during a Los Angeles Angels baseball game. This portion of the movie, in my opinion, was the funniest satire ever on major league baseball.
