Yes to Katharine Hepburn. This could get rather tricky. (lol)

I would ask Gus to help but I am afraid to find out what movies he watches.

So much for my bravado -- I don't have another one at the moment, and I need to do get some work done. Wandeljw, would you care to take a turn?

Hey folks! Surfacing after a huge chunk of work and a great program of films and museum reception! wow.

Do you know the Dorothy Fields song "Remind Me", from One Night in the Tropics?

Yes indeed I know it! Andrea M. used to sing this in a Field's show she did (I think maybe only at The Gardenia in LA) and also made it part of a love show, but I have so many on tape, I'm not sure where they might be!

Sounded like an amazing show, bree! I'll have to go looking for those artists if they come to town!

That's why "Remind Me" sounded so familiar! I knew I knew it from somewhere, but I thought it was Barbara Cook's CD of Fields's songs.

Take a spin at a "title words" question, lois -- I'm dry at the moment.

OK, I got one -- but I'm about to leave for a few hours, so I won't be around to confirm the correct answer when it's provided (as I'm sure it quickly will be).

This actor was in four movies whose titles included a woman's first name. (In one case, the entire title of the movie was a woman's first name.)

Just want you to know that I'm at this moment enjoying The Jeopardy Theme (Think Music) played on a harpsichord with the Hollywood Chamber Symphony in the style of Handel. I heard Green Acres in the style of Joplin prior to that. Very classy. Bewitched in the style of Debussy is a masterpiece. I've got 12 more to go.

(As you can see, I don't know how to quote like you guys do. )

Anyway, might it be Clark Gable?

Cain and Mabel
Polly of the Circus
What Price Gloria
Susan Lenox (Her Rise & Fall) I recently recorded that one to DVD

If not Clark Gable, maybe

Fredric March

Susan and God
Mary of Scotland (Tie-in to Katharine Hepburn)
Anna Karenina
Sarah and Son

Wow, that music you were listening to sounds ... quite something!

I don't know how to quote, either. I printed out a thread on how to do it and brought it home so I could practice, but the print-out is still sitting on my coffee table (along with who knows what else).

Clark Gable and Fredric March both fit the bill, but neither of them is the actor I'm thinking of, and -- as you yourself said -- the object of this variation of the game is to guess who the person asking the question was thinking of. If you just do what comes naturally, I'm sure the answer will occur to you.

And don't forget Calamity Jane (I was thinking of that one instead of Annie Oakley, which I completely missed)!

And I had Calamity Jane written down on a note, but got so excited when I saw your hint .........

Let's try "Family Members" or perhaps I should say parties who might be living under the same roof. I've found 2 actresses who each qualify for at least 5 such individuals. But, I just want one.

What a messy question. Let me clarify:

This actress appeared in five movies in which a family member, or a party who might be living under the same roof ,appears in the title.

Aaah, that's better.

I'll have to tell you more about the TV themes I've been listening, to. It's a riot.

I was working on a question involving family members earlier today, but got bogged down in definitional issues and gave up. (I like your plunge-right-in attitude better.) But I'm having a lot of trouble getting this page to load tonight -- it takes a minute or longer to load each time I come back to it -- so I think I'll give up for tonight and work on your question tomorrow morning.

OK. I saw a CD in a music catalogue ($3.00) called "Mozart TV" (TV tunes in the style of great classical composers, received it in the mail today, and am loving it. (lol)

Friends (I'll Be There For You) in the style of Vivaldi
Hill Street Blues - Mozart style
M A S H - Mozart
The Brady Bunch - Mozart
Bewitched - Debussy (very lovely) I recommend it. Honestly.
X-Files Theme - in the style of Hovhaness (not familiar with that composer, strange.)
Taxi - Villa-Lobos style
Green Acres - Joplin style - if you can imagine Western Ragtime - starts out like "Shane" and goes into some ragtime piano - Love it.
Mr. Ed - Rodrigo style (haven't heard that one yet)
Jeopardy - Handel, with harpsichord - I think that's what the instrument is - Cool! (lol)
The Jetsons - Britten style - Haven't heard it yet
Cheers - style of J. Ireland (unknown to me) anxious to hear that one
I Love Lucy - style of Purcell (Haven't heard it yet)
and
finally
Star Trek Voyager - in the style of R. Strauss

It's slow loading here for me, too.

I have to get up early in the A.M., too. I have to record "Brigadoon". I'll hold my ears while you comment.

Pleasant dreams.
