Sorry for the incorrect spelling. We have "fizzle". (lol)

Sorry you're so busy, Bree.

Yea, weather's better but I'm swamped!! Loved the Deborah Kerr though! One of my all time favorite ladies, like Greer Garson. I adored her in all those flicks!! Especially An Affair to Remember.
My friend Dick and I were both big fans of the flick in college. When he came out with some other college pals to stay with me and attend a ton of shows on broadway, we arranged to meet by the info desk on the first floor (we decided we didn't have the rating to make it to the observatory!)!

I've been watching the carnevale celebrations on web cams all over Venice for the past week, big fun! Shocked

Good questioning guys and Gung Hay Fat Choy-and Happy year of the rooster!

With apologies for the long delay, here's the next question.

3. The whole crowd declares their affection?

Or was her expression caused by something as mundane as the memory of the

4. Other-worldly Italian food

she had for lunch?

You'd be amazed who rides the subway, mac!

Julia Roberts is, of course, correct. Over to you.

or because he's

2. a dope about romance

or comes from a

3. small village

or just has

4. the correct je ne sais quoi?

I think I know this one, but I'm about to log off, and I hate to post and run (I don't want to leave people hanging while I'm counting sheep).

That would be Sam Shepard--although you got me confused with Harry Dean Stanton who co-starred in at least two of those!

Hi Guys.

Oh, Mac, I really enjoyed your story -particularly the reference to The Raggedy Man. I love that guy. Very Happy I've been sleeping most of the day with some sort of virus and a lousy head cold but, of course, couldn't resist peeking in here.

Raggedy, I'm so sorry to hear you're under the weather. There's a lot of that kind of thing going around, so staying home and sleeping a lot is probably a good idea. Dr. Bree also recommends tea with honey (and perhaps a drop or two of bourbon).

Weird things have been happening today with my AOL connection at home, too: I've been unable to get online all evening, until now, because AOL kept freezing on me. I finally decided to try an old version of AOL that I still have on my computer, and amazingly it worked -- but now I'm so frazzled from fighting my computer, I don't have the energy to think about lois's question! Oh, well -- tomorrow is another day!

Dr. Bree, I always appeciate any advise you have to offer. I am at this moment sipping a cup of tea with a generous slug of Seagrams and feeling wonderful. Now lesh me shee, what's the nesh question. Oh, thash right, I shee it now, in duplicate:

Dianne Wiest was, they always said, a little too
1) Footloose
with not a care in the world. She had tried
2) Parenthood
and although some thought them
3) Lost Boys
they turned out quite well.
She even tried a little
4) Practical Magic
She finally settled down and everyone
5) Merci Docteur Rey ?

who kept her away from (Drunks; Bullets Over Broadway, The Birdcage?) Laughing

The New York Times's website is reporting that Arthur Miller has died. At the moment, there's no further information -- the news must have just broken. Coincidentally, yesterday was the 56th anniversary of the Broadway opening of Death of a Salesman.

bree,

Arthur Miller just had a new play open in Chicago. It is a fictionalized version of what happened behind the scenes during the filming of "The Misfits".

Sorry to hear the news, Bree. I had no idea Miller was 92 years old, or for that matter that Death of a Salesman is 56 years old. Seems like only yesterday.
