Bandwidth problems be danged. Sad This will never do. Let's hope this is a temporary problem. I have my suspicions.

New Question:

It was going to be a great party she thought, inasmuch as the first guests to arrive were most impressive. There was:

1. Chinese royalty
and
2. Ethiopian royalty
and
3. A chivalrous Spaniard

but, the fun was over all too soon when that

4. Vixen in the rosy skintight pants

appeared on the scene.

Oops. I was too anxious. The Ethiopian royalty was "Aida". Sophia played Aida with her voice dubbed.

Still your turn. Very Happy

I had a feeling "Arabesque" was not correct but it was the only title that sounded Ethiopian to me.

What is the connection between these 3 Robin Hood movies (other than story and characters)?

Robin Hood (1923)
The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)
Rogues of Sherwood Forest (1950)

Hi, folks--back but on my way to lunch. Thought I'd drop in!

Could it be Alan Hale? I know he's been little john in a million of them!

Ahh, back from Lunch and would love to! Give me time to come up with something!

btw--fascinating stories about understudy performances!

Oh, and bree, the Renee Fleming book sounds awesome! Last night I caught most of the PBS special on The Art of the Violin. It was wonderful the extended clips they used so that you could hear the violinist play the entire clip!

ok--going to search for a series!

OK, let's see.

After we went to the
1) large tented show,
that featured acts from as far a way
2)as the furthest away place
most people think of, we realized they must have gone on
3)an animal hunt
to find all these creatures!
But the best act was a
4)disturbed equine leader who
lost his
5)gown
midway through the show!
Laughing
easy.

And the synchronous wavelengths - they keep on rollin' - they just keep rollin' along.

Like your story Loislane. I'm thinking about it.

Very Happy And of course #5...his gown was...I think the one you have pictured unless it's from Demetrius and The Gladiators or Androcles & the Lion! God, gotta love a good ole Victor Mature bible epic, don't ya?

Oh, I forgot to say The Robe. I think I saw all of Mature's movies. Might that pic be from Samson & Delilah?

You know Mature always gave the impression of being such a strong guy, but actually he wasn't very muscular. Not many of the stars back then had bulging arm muscles like you see in the epics today.(I think I prefer the old days before all the guys worked out. I mean Burton, Flynn, Ty Power, Robert Taylor - they all looked darn good in costume epics.

Yea--they all had a bit of a gut, but what was considered strong wasn't governator strong-that kind of scary bulgy super thing.

Women actually had a waist and weren't supposed to look like Barbie-they were real shaped! One has to like that...if one is a woman of a certain weight. Laughing

So Aggie, I punt to you--but if I don't get it right away, I'll be offline at an exhibition opening and dinner!

OK. Here it is:

The fortuneteller told him it was an ominous time to travel, but he didn't heed her advice. From day one it was a

1. Trip of hair-raising proportions

He could sense the

2. Handiwork of destructive forces

and

3. Necromancy

He should have listened, as it was indeed a

4. Cursed cruise

(to be continued if necessary)
