Hi there, Willow. Do you have a scene or question? I've run out for the time being.
No love, just wanted to play...but i enjoy listening to you and Mac...I no longer have cable so i am watching videos that i have over and over and over..and you both are too good to fool...will keep checking in :-)

Love those videos, Willow.
I recently watched an A&E bio of a star who has played:
Author
Detective
Corporate raider
Hunter
Lawyer
do tell Raggedy..i am curious now...i keep seeing michael douglas' face but am not sure that is correct.
And, you saw the right face, Willow.

Can you connect the roles to the movies?
I remember the line ..."Greed is good" from Wallstreet..so corporate raider..
detective...He was in Streets of San Francisco...(trying to do this without googling lol)
Star Chamber..he was a judge i thought so that may not count.
the author one is killing me because i saw the movie with him and Toby McGuire..just can't remember the name.
Hunter..Romancing the Stone?
now i will go google cause i hate not knowing. lol
Corporate raider - Wall Street - YES
Detective - Think of a sexy babe
Lawyer - think of another sexy, obsessed babe (lol)
Hunter - think of big game hunter in Africa
Author - You got it. You just need the name.
Wonder Boys
gosh, Fatal Attraction..how could i forget that one lol
and i actually saw The Ghost and the Darkness..just was a forgetable movie...and so was Basic Instinct..IMHO...but this could be a fun game if you could think of a way to start it...:-) I am not good at starting threads :-)
No problem. Let's play. (lol)
Baseball player
Newspaper Reporter
Stunt Flyer
Attorney
Millionaire
robert redford?
the Natural--baseball player
all the presidents men---newspaper reporter
indecent proposal--millionaire
the amazing waldo pepper--stunt flyer
and off the top of my head i can't think of his role when he was an attorney..:-(
You got them all right.

He was an attorney in Legal Eagles.
thanks Raggedy i like this game..have to go now see you soon :-)
I'm leaving for an appointment in a few minutes, but just dropped in to extend my condolences to my sleep-deprived friend and offer some advice. Overdoses of caffeine can be quite harmful to the health.
Thanks for the condolences and the advice, Raggedy! I'm not so sleep-deprived today, since yesterday's game was over at the relatively reasonable hour of 11 p.m., but that's only because it started a little after 5. (If only I had been as happy with the outcome!) I'm expecting another late night tonight, with the game scheduled to start at 8:20, unless the rain we've been getting here all day washes it out.
I'm glad you guys managed to entertain yourselves yesterday, despite my running out on you when I owed you a question. Trust me, I would rather have been at A2K than where I was (dentist's office)!
Your "careers" questions inspired me to come up with this one. What actor played the following roles in at least two movies?
Lawyer
Seafaring man
Real-life writer
(It's possible he may have played each role more than twice, but I can only think of two movies for each role.)
The first actor that comes to mind is Gregory Peck and if I'm correct, it is too weird, because I was going to use him in my next question.
Lawyer - The Paradine Case and To Kill a Mockingbird
Seafaring man - Moby Dick, Captain Horatio Hornblower, The World in his Arms
Real-life writer - Flaubert? in The Great Sinner; F. Scott Fitzgerald in Beloved Infidel; and two based on Ernest Hemingway, The Snows of Kilimanjaro and Macomber Affair
Oops. Flaubert was not his name in The Great Sinner, but I think that is who he was portraying.
How about:
Old Gringo - Ambrose Bierce
That is weird -- it is Gregory Peck! You got them all right, including a couple I hadn't thought of (The World in His Arms and The Great Sinner). I thought about the Hemingway-based roles, but wasn't sure if I could count them, so the other "real-life writer" role (besides Fitzgerald) that I was thinking of was Ambrose Bierce, in The Old Gringo.
Look above.
Was your game rained out?
Ah yes, I should have known you'd figure it out!
The game is on, but I had to avert my eyes for a few minutes while Boston scored 4 runs, so I turned to A2K. The Yankees are trying to rally now, so I'm paying closer attention to the game.
