Beta Glucan

Hey Edgar, I asked a doctor friend about beta glucan. She's pretty busy now, but she said she'd check it out.

And, indeed, it is promoting the product, and is not food and drug admin endorsed...might be interesting, though.

Thank you both for the time you have taken to help me in this. I am of course interested in the product for my own use, but, I don't want to waste my time and effort if the product proves unhelpful to my particular disorder.

Hmmm - I am wondering if the clinical trial people could point you to objective data?

They must have had enough reason to hope to be able to get a grant etc...

But if it is so prevalent in Asia, why don't we ever hear about it here?

Did a search on WebMD for it and didn't find a single peep about it...

CDC Releases High Soluble Fibre Barley Variety

FDA Talk Paper from 1997

This one only deals with the effects of fiber on heart disease, doesn't mention anything about cancer and only specifically mentions oats not barley but acknowledges that other grains may have similar properties.
