I don't think it's at all "negative" to say goodnight to folk you've been talking to. I think it's rather nice, actually.

...well i just see it and think darn, that person is leaving and i didn't even know they were here. so it isn't usefull just annoying. or at least saying hello is obviously nicer, since it gives me usefull information, what times you're going to be on, but it seems weird to me for someone to just say by to me everyday but never hello. like just focusing on the negative. the fact that you're leaving not the fact that you're arriving.
