@Sturgis,
Quote:
The cold mornings are good for stepping outside and taking a long walk. If properly timed I can be at the coffee place when they have just opened. Then circle around, go to the park for a short time and then back indoors to warm up.

I'm working myself up to doing the very same thing, Stugis.
Or similar.
So far this winter I've been a dismal failure.
But, tomorrow is another day, right?

@msolga,
That's the spirit! Arise early tomorrow (or the day after that) and dash out the door quickly, before you can convince yourself it's too cold.

Be sure to wear your socks (on the hands of course). They work better than gloves. And layers, several layers will work better than 1 heavy coat.

@Sturgis,
Right!
I'll give it a go then!
Not sure about the socks on my hands, though.
People might think I'm crazy! Razz

And now I'm gonna stop procrastinating!
Yes I am.
I'm going out there & I'm going to get stuck into some (sorely needed!) weeding & pruning!
My cat is out there waiting for me already, sitting in her favourite sun spot.
She loves my garden frenzy days!
This time, please, please, please start, lawn mover!
(It didn't the last time! Cursed thing! Grrrrr Evil or Very Mad )

It's been really nice chatting with you, Sturgis.
Good night & sweet dreams to you. Smile

@Dutchy,
Got some done, Dutchy.
Not as much as I would have liked, though.
Still, the next couple of days look like been very similar, though a bit more overcast, according to the bureau.

Glad to hear your barbecue went well.
A light dinner for you tonight, I suspect! Smile

@msolga,
Before I go to bed, Im making a list for Mrs to do in the garden.Ill be away until Sat and I need to have my tomatoes weeded and its just right conditions .

We bought about 7 Mandevillas and planted three in big 30 gal plastic pots and these have taken off. The other 4 we planted along a brick path that leads up to a patio wall. These too are taking poff and are all of a suddne just covered with huge blazing red flowers. The ones in the pots are a pinkish. They attract hummingbiords like a MCDonalds pulls in fat people

I'm used to the pink ones (Alice du Pont). Glad they're doing well.

@farmerman,
I'm sure the Mrs will do the right things while you're away, farmer. Wink

Those mandevillas sound spectacular!

I'm so jealous.
And of course, it's tomato growing season!
Now I'm even more jealous!
Great time of year in your garden, you lucky things!

Enjoy your trip & travel safely, farmer.
And happy dreams to you tonight.
Night night.

It's just after midnight here & A2K seems very quiet tonight ... 2 very good reasons to head off to bed now.
Just thought of a 3rd one ... it's cold!
So good night, all.
