Hello ehBeth

Now according to the time on your post (19:56) it must be time for dinner soon. What's cooking?

msolga, tonight it was tomato sauce with meatballs. No pasta. I'm not a fan of pasta, but I love LOVE love most tomato sauces. The dogs think I made a good choice. Sauce and meatballs, what's not to love?

It's raining right now, so when we get back from our walk, I'm going to make myself a cup of Tetley's Earl Grey Vanilla tea, and have a couple of shortbread cookies. mmmmmmmmmmmm.

You're right, ehBeth ... Why quibble if both you & the critters find it delicious?
Enjoy your walk in the rain, too. I'm now wondering if the dogs will get an Earl Grey & shortbread, too! Laughing

Looks like rain here, too. Miserable, overcast day. Sad

msolga, does spring rain feel different to you than autumn rain? I was wondering about that as the dogs and I wandered through the spring drizzle.

Yes, a "normal" spring rain here is more dramatic than the autumn variety. Bursts of showers, followed by bursts of sunlight. And lots of prolific garden growth. Autumn is usually gentler & rather melancholy ... The slow dying of the summer. <sigh>
But what we're most familiar with, over the past 8 or so years, is drought. I was actually quite shocked, a couple of mornings ago, to wake up to a heavy downpour. So unusual! Very disconcerting!

Not too badly - but not because of our meeting. (I hate those things)
On the "smile" thread, I mention that another meeting at the same hotel was a group of old mates from my previous company - lots of fun!

And an absolutely magnificent autumn day in Sydney - the sky an unbelievably blue, and we could see the beach - even if we didn't get any sand between the toes!

So margo, some pluses, not all minuses ... a big improvement on what you'd anticipated. Very Happy

that's true - and an almost decent dinner - although indecently expensive for what you got - in a cafe/restaurant across the road from the beach!

I wasn't paying - all part of the day's meeting - but only work people at this one, so no distractions, and no fun!

You should have invited me as a guest speaker - then you could have had some fun !!

(though it would have been hard to get me to shut up)

Good night, all you folk who are just getting going, on the other side of the planet! Enjoy your day. Very Happy
Here it's almost midnight. The good news is that it's RAINING! (We have a drought). The bad news is that it's cold!

Night, night,

Aw! if you only think it, then there must be something up! Well, I hope that you are feeling all right! As for myself... I'm even busier than usual, with preparing for the move, preparing to finish off all the research projects that I have to do, preparing for this, that and the other; I could do with a relax!
