I don't stab people in the back like you do.

Unlike you, I don't stab people in the back.

Many thanks.

The second one is a bit awkward, but the meaning is essentially the same.

Gus--

I'd say the second sentence is more formal.

Yoong--

Both sentences are correct. The personality of the speaker and his relationship with the person addressed would determine which one should be used.

The second one is more correct.

"So how do you stab people in the back, if you don't do it like me?

Hi Gus

Gus didn't say "wrong". He said "awkward".

My apologies, Gus, I had a big bottle of beer and was not sober.

Hi Gus

I took a big bottle of beer, but I was speeding on my motorcycle after that. Fortunately, I returned home alive.
