can anyone give me a balanced view on the adios slimming pills?
they are herbal but I'm not sure whether that makes them useful or not.
do these things really work?!
thanks..
xx
I don't know this particular brand, but most of the herbal slimming pills are based on extracts of green tea, guarana, antioxidants, some acids... most of which are things you can find elsewhere. The slimming will not happen unless you also follow through with regular exercise and healthy diet. That is to say that the slimming is dependent on things outside of the slimming pills. They have mostly psychological benefit (making it easier to exercise and eat well because 'i'm taking a pill').
But on their own no slimming pill will do much for you.
Nope. No proof that they do.
Any of them.
BTW, I forgot: welcome to a2k, secretsinner!
We even have a weight loss club here where you can join others in the quest to slim down. a support group might work better than any slimming pill.
I had great success with Trimspa.
Like Dag said, it's psychosomatic.
There is no medical proof that these diet pills do anything and the ones that did caused severe health problems (read: ephedra).
If you just take pills and don't diet and exercise, the pills will do little to nothing.
Straight from the Trimspa website.

I agree there is no magic diet pill. Nothing will make a person lose weight. Only things that work are cutting back on fat and calories and excerise. I do think that ingredients in Trimspa such as Hoodia and Green Tea do help supress one's appetite.
sure....though you can get much cheaper green tea than Trim Spa.
mmmm indeed
you mentioned the support clubs dagmaraka..where would I find them..
thanks again for your help

Answering the question of whether or not a diet pill works is easy.
Does Pfizer sell it?
If not, then it does not work.
If there was ANY over the counter pill that worked BY ITSELF to help you lose weight, the drug companies would scoop it up and sell it in prescription form making all of that money.
Not to mention, they would have to test and re-test all of the ingredients.
We have
Able2Know Weight Loss Club here. It's just a bunch of A2K members supporting each other in their various ways of going about weight loss. You can state your goals there, get advice on how to proceed and or on a diet to follow, you can report your progress and thus keep track of it, and so on. Many members have been there for years. Say hi to folks there and you'll see, you might like it.
thanks very much dagmaraka!

Some of us peel pounds slowly. Other people appreciate the support to stay on track. You'd be welcome, secretsinner.
