"The administration I'll bring is a group of men and women who are focused on what's best for America, honest men and women, decent men and women, women who will see service to our country as a great privilege and who will not stain the house."

"I worry. I'm very worried about, you know, the kid who just wonders whether America is meant for him. I really worry about that. And uh, so, I'm running for a reason. I'm answering this question here and the answer is, you cannot lead America to a positive tomorrow with revenge on one's mind. Revenge is so incredibly negative."
Candidate for President George W. Bush

"This is a world that is much more uncertain than the past. In the past we were certain, we were certain it was us versus the Russians in the past. We were certain, and therefore we had huge nuclear arsenals aimed at each other to keep the peace. That's what we were certain of ... You see, even though it's an uncertain world, we're certain of some things. We're certain that even though the 'evil empire' may have passed, evil still remains. We're certain there are people that can't stand what America stands for ... We're certain there are madmen in this world, and there's terror, and there's missiles and I'm certain of this, too: I'm certain to maintain the peace, we better have a military of high morale, and I'm certain that under this [Clinton-Gore] administration, morale in the military is dangerously low."
Candidate for President George W. Bush
May 31, 2000

"A generation shaped by Vietnam must remember the lessons of Vietnam: When America uses force in the world, the cause must be just, the goal must be clear and the victory must be overwhelming."

"I'm not sure the role of the United States is to go around the world and say 'this is the way it's got to be…' I would be very careful about using our troops as nation builders."
Candidate for President George W. Bush

"I think credibility is important. It's going to be important to be the — for the president to be credible with Congress, important for the president to be credible with foreign nations. And yes, I think it's something that people need to consider."
Candidate for President George W. Bush
Oct. 11, 2000

Well, it most certainly is a disgusting waste of money....isn't most of it from private contributions?
Obama claims to have pulled in his (what was it, $55 million) February monies through online campaign contributions.
If every Obama supporter gave up their Starbucks once a month for the entire campaign, you'd have a rather large sum of money.

....just don't confuse this with me thinking $1 billion to run a campaign is OK.

There are always some big donors...and they want the favor returned.

"It has indeed been a trying hour for the Republic;
but I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country.
As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow,
and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working on the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands,
and the Republic is destroyed.
I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war."

—Abraham Lincoln in a letter to William F. Elkins, November 21, 1864.

USA is unfit/disqualified to uphold the value of Democracy..
Afganisthan and Iraq had picked up leaders without much ado..
USA had spent some money to pick up a candidate to ruin the globe.
Anyone who uphold the unfulfilled soup sipping power's DREAM is a half backed potatoe.
Ask any Indians or Germans

Are there not umpteen sources who stand behind these dolls?
By these dolls I mean both the approved Reps and undecided dems.

You agree with comments made on A2K by Magginkat, who said that Obama was nothing more than an empty suit.

They are the vocal. But consider those Americans who're silent and simmer in their anger.

Thro this thread I had tried my level best to expose the AMERICAN WAY OF DEMOCRACY.
One need not cross the ocean to kill the people to spread DEMOCRACY.
One should follow the virtues of DEMOCRACY at home..
pick up a decent candidate without much ado and NOISE.

Democracy is not a show bossiness.
America is disqualified to export democracy.

But it is not my taste or cake.
Let those foreign intellectuals in usa leave and seek shelter in their birth place.
A congenial world is without consume-oriented corporate sponsored non entity.
