Do you know any kids that narrate their lives?

All right! The whole she sees which burner is on thing...

I figure that does play some role in our self concepts..

(memories of other situations, distant tribes and so on.)

This self view, a mind helicopter and talking about it, may be part of the communication gap, and ... people have leapt that gap.

I'm surely unknowledgeable on this, just interested.

(There's an article I'm trying to remember..)

Whew, sorry Chai! Don't look at me that way, I didn't know you were waiting all that time!

ehBeth came up with a good 'un. Not what I'd read but I can't seem to find what I'd read. It was something about predicting later academic achievement, maybe? Ugh, can't get a really good keyword handle on it.

Chai thinks about it and decides to forgive sozobe....this time.

Then, she runs to the bathroom as fast as she can with her knees together.

Wow...it sounds to me that she has the makings of a great writer if she self-narrates in that much detail. She uses transitions and everything!
I wish more of my students would do that. It would sure make my job of teaching them writing a lot easier! Smile Good for your daughter! It sounds like you have a very bright, cute little girl. Enjoy it!

You could have a lot of fun with it. Smile

Enter her story and play along! Little kids are so much fun.

She's at the age now where she can really get into telling stories and she can contribute to a story making session with lots of interesting details.

Considering the company that I keep...that is one hell of a compliment.

Thanks Osso.

I don't self-narrate as I prefer mutual-narration.

Sometimes an internal announcement such as, "Undaunted, Our Resourceful Heroine sallied forth once more...."
