I have been on Premarin for a few years now. It really concerns me with
all the information that has been about cancer. My doctor has told me that she suggest people are off of it by age 60. I had to have a hystrectomy a few years ago and the doctor thought that I should take it.
I do have some problems with hot flashes. My doctor also wants me to take Effexor XR for the hot flashes. I don't like the thoughts of either one of these medications? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I use Estraderm patches; they work wonders for hot flashes. I've been on them for about 20 years & so far no apparent side effects. Every so often I stop them & back come the hot flashes, the soak-the-bed kind. So I start up again.
