Great victory for fans of the separation of Church and State.

Judge Suspended over Ten Commandments

I especially liked the comment from Shelby Foote, who described the contingent the current administration relies upon to rubber stamp their stupidities:

Quote:
Observers say Chief Justice Moore's genius is the way he framed the issue.

"He made it sound like he stood for God and everybody who opposed him was against God," Shelby Foote, the Memphis historian, said. "For a lot of people with simple minds, that makes perfect sense. And once he started grabbing headlines, he just didn't want to let go."

I think that this is particularly important, since the self annointed AG John "Crisco Boy" Ashcroft is on a speaking tour of the US to try and sell Patriot II.
