I am a 66 year old male,who has been married to the same woman for the last 25 years. We are married in name only, we have not sleep together in over 10 years. She is totally disabled and has serious medical problems. She requires over $2500 a month in medication. I can not leave her. Last year I started seeing my first wife who I divorced over 40 years ago. We are in love but are having problems with me being married. I can not leave a disabled person but do want to be with the first wife. Any solutions?
lrdeleon5426, is your wife "totally disabled" mentally as well as physically? If not -- if her mind is still intact -- go ahead and talk to her. She may well not want to be your charity project.
I don't think there is any ethical way to proceed without your wife's knowledge and consent, however.

Twenty five years is a long time. The ten years of abstinence is noteworthy.
And you are still with your wife. That says a lot.
I would hope she would not begrudge you normal activities ~ especially if she is aware of her disability.
But, you did promise to marry her 'for better or worse'. Does that not mean anything anymore?
