@ul,
Thanks, ul and Stradee. It now looks like we will be getting some really high winds - about 50 mph - and a lot of rain - about up to 5 inches. But, I've battened (sp, Stradee) down the hatches and moved everything I think could be blown away to safety. I also now have a magic grey box outside next to the electric meter box. When the power goes off, I start the generator and flip a switch on the magic box and we have power again. Then when the electric companys power is restored the magic box flips my generator off line, restores the house to the normal electric power and all I have to do is stop the generator motor. simple. I like it.

We shall see what happens.

Hi to all good Wildclickers........

dunno, but the pic is very cute. Seasonal changes?

Dan, whatever the spelling {giggling} sounds like you and your Pattie will stay safe from the storm. How cool! A state of the art generator! Very Happy

@Stradee,
Thanks all for the good wishes. Right now the tip of the hurricane is beginning to hit. But, so far no winds and only very light rain. Electricity is going out county by county south of us - the latest is only two counties away. I'm sure we will be without soon.

But, so far, so good. (As the man falling from the tall building said when asked by someone in a window who said, "How's it going?")

@danon5,
hard to believe, but they tell us that the 12 hours of drizzle we've had are because of Ike

he's got long arms

Went through four shirts today. Rain, rain, rain. Good napping weather.
Made a crab and shrimp linguine tonight. The Mrs. requested it. Feels like a cannon ball in my gut.
Clicked.

@alex240101,
Set and the dogs napped and walked. Brendalee and I shopped.

Two new cookie sheets and a muffin pan are among the treasures from Canadian Tire. Got some baking to do. I think it'll be refrigerator door muffins - banana bran oatmeal with three or four types of chips and raisins and cranberries and coconut.

@ehBeth,
What's the "urps" enBeth? Now my fingers aren't w orking either. Oh, well. We have had "as if" weather, but heat and sun are returning.

Heads up to all. Do not, under any circumstances, download and install the new beta version Google browser, 'Chrome'. It has screwed up my computer and I can't set a shortbut to disktop for even my Yahoo. Most inconvenient.

@sumac,
The urps are like a minor cross between hiccups and burps. Not proper burps, not as frequent as hiccups. Urps.

Nick (A2K developer) and a few others have been discussing GoogleChrome on a thread somewhere around here. I'll see if I can find the link.
