My Wildclicking friends - I (right clicked) on the picture - selected with a (left click) on (Save picture as) and saved it to my file after clicking on (browse) that I created in (My Documents) that I named (My Scans).
Then, I opened a new page to a site named (http://www.imageshack.us/)
I clicked browse and selected (My Documents) - selected the file (My Scans) and clicked on the file name of the picture. Then click (Host It) on the www.imageshack.us site and wait until the pic is accepted. Then scroll down to the line that says good for a forum and left click on the line - then right click on the same highlighted line and click on (Copy).
Go back to the A2K site - print what you want to say and then right click and (Paste) the URL.
Most times it works like that - this time I had to delete some stuff and add a few things to coordinate the URL with the A2K directives. You can see the A2K directives by clicking on [IMG] and following the same example.
See how easy it is - - - Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Dan our innovative pic tranferer Very Happy

I found that sometimes the transfers don't work from internet storage sites. So iffin i can't copy/paste the photo's url to a2k or maggies site, then i'll try finding another photo of the same subject that will transfer.

sue, good seeing your postings again.

ehBeth, yur a gem!

Stradee and sumac - posting any pic here is easy.

Click "Post Reply"

When the site comes up - go to the line that sez "Message body" and click on the tiny box that sez "IMG".

Two lines down after that the site tells you that you haven't entered anything correctly and you exit those boxes - you look at the directions just to the right of "Insert image".

That is the default direction to insert an image on A2K.

First do

That's all there is to it. If there are any other things in the copied URL - then you just delete the stuff that is not required by A2K - and follow the A2K directives to post an image.

If the URL fits the directive - just post it - if it doesn't fit the A2K directive then you will have to download the image to a file in your computer and then go the the hosting site to get the URL. Like I described above.

An extreme method of posting a pic is to go to a site named "Screen Rip 32" - you can Google the site or go to - http://www.progency.com/other.html - and scroll down to where it sez you may download it to your computer. With it you can select all or a portion of anything on your screen and save it to a file of your choice. Then, you can go to the hosting site and follow the above directions to post it on A2K. It's clean and I've been using it for years and it's free.

Dan dearheart,

I have no probs transfering photo's from the net, nor from 'my pics' {avatars, etc.} to a2k - it's just that sometimes a site where a photo is located doesn't allow a transfer - and instead of saving the photo to 'my pics' then sending to an online photo storage site, then transfering, - i'd rather just find another photo. Very Happy

You are so cute explaining all of the ways to post photos. Smile

Very funny article, ehBeth! Why am i not surprised you'd probably win!

Stradee,

Here is an example of what I am trying to explain.

Your last post said - in it's first context =

http://www.imageshack.us/

I selected this part =

This is a frame of your post that I copied with Screen Rip 32 and posted only a portion of your post - please try it - it's free - it's clean - and I have been using it for years.

If you want further proof - please post a picture and tell me exactly which portion of the picture you want to see posted. I guantee you will see exactly what you want to see.

I'm going to try all approaches. I have never done anything other than click on IMG, insert URL, then click on OK. Have never looked further for specific a2k directives. I guess I will have to learn how to do it after all.

Stradee, go back about five posts and click on the web site I included that is named (progency) - scroll down on that site to where it sez download Screen Rip 32. It's not a great big site so won't take long.

Add that site to your favorites/bookmarked file and look into it. At that site you can download the program. It's free, and it is really good.

I usually use the line that sez capture a rectangular area.

Then you just go to anything on your screen - click - and a tiny cross comes up - then position your cursor at a point where you want to copy the picture and press left then go diagonally to complete your picture. Click outside of the designated area and you have what you want - then click save to JPG to whatever file you use to upload to the download site.

Use the URL for forums - and you are in like Flynn.
