"Tea", refers to the issue surrounding the tax that Britain placed on tea that was sent to America, which was at that time a British colony.
The yanks refused to pay this tax and dumped the tea overboard into the sea.
The revolt was led by an entrepreneur by the name of Mr Fred Starbuck who, some say, had a vested interest of some sort. :wink:
