I've read that either 'is' or 'are' can be used?

Is the sentence correct?

Many thanks.

There's something missing.

I've read that with either, "is" or "are" can be used.

BTW, I don't agree with the content of the sentence. "Either" is singular.

(Now I'll wait for someone to come along and tell me I'm wrong. Can't think of a situation in which you would say "either are."

Hi Rberta

What I wanted to know is whether "I have read that ... " is correct. The 'is' or 'are' is not the question.

Many thanks.

Setanta is right (as usual). I added a "with," but it's not necessary. Just delete the question mark.
