I'm taking AP european history this year, and this site could be a major help (considering I work and go to school) So I was wondering if any one came on here anymore that could help me?

Thanks

That will depend, of course, on the nature of question, and whether or not the members here suspect you are just trying to get someone else to do your homework for you.

Generally, when the topic is history, you will get a detailed answer if you are looking for narrative detail. If you are looking for the interpretation of events, or the significance of events, most people will look on that as you attempting to get someone else to do your homework, and you likely wouldn't get as much help.

Be careful in using Gustave's answers. Being a much respected historian, his works are well known within the history teaching world, and would probably be readily detected if you used them.

I'd be glad to help.

Is your teacher giving you any practice writing essays? I had AP American history in the 11th grade, but my teacher had a major family crisis 2 states away and he spent so much time travelling back and forth that the class fell way behind schedule. He had wanted to cover the Civil War by Thanksgiving break, but we didn't even start the Civil War until after New Year's. He gave us absolutely no practice writing essays so I was too afraid to take the AP American History exam.

I had AP European History in the 12th grade and we had practice essays almost every week. My class took a practice AP exam without the essay portion just before we took the real exam and of the 30 or so students who took the practice exam I had the highest score. I answered 90 of the 100 multiple choice questions on the real exam with a high level of confidence. I even managed to correctly answer some questions on topics that had never been discussed in any history class I had ever taken (Q. Which country does the term "economic miracle" refer to? A. The Federal Republic of Germany, i.e., West Germany in the decades following World War II). I had little exposure to art/culture topics in high school and most of the questions I couldn't answer were about paintings or writers that I had never studied anything about. I scored a 4 on the real exam and earned 8 hours of European history credit in college. If the test hasn't changed too much since I took it in 1987, I should be able to help.
