Is it correct to say 'repeat again'.

For example, The teacher asked John "What is your name?"
John replied very softly, "John."

The teacher again could not hear what John said, so she asked him to repeat what he said. He replied, softly "John". She asked him to repeat again what he said.

Is 'repeat again' correctly used ?

Many thanks.

If John had been asked to repeat what he said and it still wasnt clear he could be asked to repeat again.
