Earlier on someone, I think it may have butterflynet, posted links to the different states returns for this evening. It would be nice to see those again. Thank you.
8 minutes!
I absolutely won't be able to stay up very late. I am trying to take solace in the idea that California, for example, probably won't be clear until tomorrow anyway. But we stayed up late for the Super Bowl on Sunday, and then early this morning there was a weird intense lightning-y thunderstorm (in February!) that woke up sozlet way earlier than she should have awakened. So she's now had two nights of not-quite-enough sleep and is doing OK but will absolutely need enough sleep tonight or I'm asking for another one of her epic illnesses. Don't want to mess around with trying to sneak back downstairs or anything.
So. I'll be out by 9:30 (EST) at the latest, no matter how compelling it is.
Give me a shove if I'm lingering.
CNN calls Georgia for Obama!
(No captions though -- they were working 5 minutes ago! Technology is seriously pissing me off today!)
Captions are working on MSNBC -- they've called it for Obama too...
According to Drudge:
Exit polls show OBAMA WINNING LARGE in Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey.
I hope these early pronoucements don't discourage people west of the Eastern Time Zone to not go out to vote because their vote isn't as desperately needed.
Drudge?
Hmmm.
Yeah, I'd be wary of motives. (Winning large in Massachusetts?)
More on the "decline-to-state" thing that you (Butrflynet) mentioned earlier. Good news is that there seems to be a whole lot of them! Bad news is that there are so many they're running out of ballots...

I can't honestly say, no matter how I look at it, that I have any particular objection to that nor have I to the general outcome, of which it seems to be an integral part, for reasons it is beyond my capabilities to understand let alone explain.
I really do admire those who do understand and explain it though. They are obviously of a whole higher order of intelligence that I am.
Yep, and absentee ballots aren't represented in exit polls so Drudge's exit polling aren't very conclusive.
Now no captions on MSNBC! WTF?
Other channels have captions. It's not something wrong with the TV, or on the wrong setting. There have been captions straight through all the other live coverage of primary results. It makes no sense.
I'm afraid the fates are doing their best to shield me from bad news...
Why not let Mr. Soz get the Sozlet to bed and you stay downstairs and not make any noise other than the clicking of the keyboard?
Seriously, it isn't as much fun without a bunch of people to ride the roller coaster of emotions with.
She's getting closer to going to bed on her own but she still needs me to be with her when she falls asleep, if only holding her hand.
I'm not dealing with the mysterious lack of captions PLUS molasses connection thing very well. (I clicked on the CNN website about 5 minutes ago and it's still loading... nothing visible yet, just the Google page with the link I clicked on...)
I'll stop trying to get my own info and will just rely on you guys.

Do you mean that exit polls are data for those who haven't yet voted?
Cripes. We don't allow that sort of thing here.
I imagine just about every person who voted, and has access, is competing for the internet pipeline with all the news outlets and blogger organizations.

It is very discouraged for the November General Elections but this is the first time we've had a Super Duper primary election day and there are no rules of decorum for the media outlets.

See how the policies are swept aside.
