How do you deal with tragedy? One day at a time. Often one hour at a time.
Of course you're still upset about finding your father's body. You might have loved him, hated him, disapproved of him, and idolized him, but he was your father. His death means that your world has changed forever.
How old are your children? How are they managing their grief?
i only have one but my brother has 2 my son is 3 his name is haden my brothers kids are 8+5(girls). My son thought he was asleep but he said papa with jesus so he is taking it well the girls not so much .

Were you close to your father?
One of the brutal facts about Death by Misadventure is that you no longer have any chance of correcting faults in your relationship.

I would have thought that applied to death by any cause.

Old people die--and this is expected.
Death by misadventure is not expected. Time for amends suddenly does not exist.

SO MANY EMOTIONS HERE!!
You found your Father dead . . .That's tramatic!
Your dad od'ed - he committed suicide, (maybe unintentioally), but he did . . . That's tramatic!.
You have little children around that need you while you are trying to grieve . . .That's draining!
Please find a pastor or friend that you can unload all your feeling to.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
