Is the federal income tax valid? Some people claim that the 16th Amendment was not properly ratified because some of the states approved versions that had altered wording or punctuation from the version that Congress approved and sent to the states. Is this true? Would these alterations invalidate ratification and thus make the federal income tax illegal?

US courts have ruled that the 16th amendment is valid and specifically on the question you raised.

I thought you were answering the 1st question with the "No". Is the "No' for the 2nd question, 3rd question or both 2nd & 3rd?

btw in my cotton candy opinion Laughing Laughing the Federal income tax is valid so I pay my taxes.
