I thought Hill looked good in the last debate. Joe Biden always looks good when he gets a chance to sandwich in between the "Big Three".

How'd you think she did when tossed the softball question from Blitzer about whether she thought illegals ought to be issued drivers licenses?

Let's ignore the fact that this is not an issue to be dealt with by the US President, but what the hell is he doing telling her all she needs to do is answer "yes" or "no"? He straight out coached her into not digging herself into a hole as she did the last time she tried to explain her position on the issue.

If you think that was a creditable performance from people who are seeking the highest office in the US . I must question what is in the cigar you are smoking. If it were a TV reality show it would have been billed as Dumbed, dumber and dumbest.

Before I try to gauge your take on this particular issue, au, can you tell me what you thought of the Democratic candidates in their last debate. Any creditable performers there, worthy of the highest office in the US?

Ah, the 'your guys sucked too' defense.

It's not a defense, but I understand your weakened leftist psyche on this matter, Cyclops.

Au may very well think all of the Democrats sucked too, and that there is no good candidate in the field. But, my asking for his opinion on the matter is hardly a "defense" to his claim that all of the Republican candidates "sucked." But it will certainly help me judge his opinion, based on whom he believes to be a creditable candidate for President, in any.

Quote:
Truthfully, Obama and Clinton looked fine for the Dems, and in the last Republican debate, McCain and Huck did great. Romney did okay. Giuliani did terrible. But, he's going down in flames anyways.

I concur re McCain and Huck. I think they were the clear winners in the last debate. Romney did poorly, I thought.

The snap polls and many Republican pundits thought Romney did okay, though I had the same opinion of him as you did. I think in the minds of many, it's a 2-man race betwixt him and Rudy, so any time Rudy comes off bad (such as with the 'sanctuary mansion,' that was low-class and you could see that he realized it while he was saying it), Romney looks good in comparison.

that was not the last debate... although I knew that was what you were getting at.... it's the only bullet in your gun..... I think one slightly sub par performance in the debates after 7 years of bush.... well, you do the math.

Tico.
Aside from Kucinich and Gavel they all present better than any of the republican wanabes. Biden has impressed me the most however he doesn't have a chance of capturing the nomination.

Both parties candidates, the major ones anyway, will continue to look week during these so called YouTube Q & A sessions. Given that the questions are stacked in advanced to favor the media's choices, Clinton, Obama specifically, one can not take these Q & A's very seriously.

I'm talking about the November 15th debate ... the one where Wolf tossed her the softball. That was the last debate I'm aware of.

That's my point about Blitzer. He coached her into not answering the question fully, but only yes or no, because he didn't want her to answer poorly, like she did the last time she tried.

CNN is so easy to criticize, given the nonsense that both Blitzer and Cooper (indirectly), tried to pull weather it be planting DEM supporters or coaching the candidates, that they trivialize these Q & A's to a point that it is not worth the effort to watch them. Nothing meaningful is heard. No policies are discussed or debated.
