ladys...chrismas...wallmart...purgotory...coka cola...whoopla...champaign....AAAAARGH!!!!
I'm getting you a dictionary for Christmas, Amigo. Oh wait, I already did. THEN USE IT, WILL YOU?!
You should be sent to the cornfields yourself. Shame on you.
OK, For my own good and improvement and to be courteous and respectful I will try harder.
I'm sorry. I'm just a little sensitive right now. I've spent the last few hours proofreading articles written by my middle school and high school classes. Oof.
Sorry? Nevermind that.
Make sure you give a special couple points for creativity.
"Imagination is more important than knowledge" - Albert Einstein
Not to worry. I always do. Content is much more important than form. Right?
Content is natural. Form you can learn. You teach form and inspire content where it exist.
Or at least that is my humble opinion
I correct their mistakes, but it's actually their English teacher's job to teach them form. I'm their journalism teacher. My job is to give them the resources they need and turn them loose. Then applaud them.
Must be working. My middle school class has an article deadline tomorrow at the end of class. I just counted, and more than half of the articles have already been e-mailed in, even though it's a holiday weekend. (And yes, they'll get extra points for being early!)
You must be doing a good job then if you have such motivated students. You are a lucky teacher compared to some of my friends.
See! You made my spelling better.
No, you did that all by yourself!
You may leave the cornfield now.
Hey, I fell like a proud little student now. I CAN (learn too)SPELL ANYTHING.
I even got a little reward. Where were you 20 years ago?
You know, I think I might just write an article.
Amigo wrote:"Imagination is more important than knowledge" - Albert Einstein
If so, how do you suggest one would measure it?

I don't know. I don't even know if it's true I was just trying to make an impression.
I do remember thinking about that quote and it's logic awhile back but now I can't remember it.
Maybe we get our knowledge from people with imaginations.
Now that knowledge is so freely available on the Internet, it seems to me that the understanding and/or application of knowledge through creativity should be more important than simply the mental acquisition of the knowledge itself.
I went to job interview recently.
The first thing I thought was: if they had Wi-Fi I could have gotten any answer I needed, so what's the point of having memorized all the knowledge, as long as I can creatively understand/apply the knowledge.
Great point. Except intellect has to apply somewhere into this equation.
Knowledge, imagination and intellect. Knowledge is the easiest to understand but what of the other two i wonder how they all relate to eachother and work together?
Why should someone with a really good memory but blah creativity / understanding be considered "smart" and able to get good grades in school etc?
i agree 110%. I agree more and better!
My wife thinks I have an amazing ability to retain knowledge but in fact I don't!
It's only if I understand something, and think about it creatively that it appears I retain the actual knowledge.

I am the same way! I did very bad in school except I understand far more then most but I can't spell.
