Ah, so she's at the curtain climbing stage, Vivien? Laughing
Amazing how they can get from bottom to top so quickly ... Then run down your back & start again as you remove them!
I imagine your hands are covered with scratches from playful attacks, too? Enjoy! Very Happy

oh how true, with the 'me tarzan' cheeky look over the shoulder from the top of the curtain - and yes the scratches too! she loves 'fighting' but gets sort of carried away! it's the change in the face as she gets a grip with the teeth and the earnest gnawing that brings out the cries of anguish though Shocked

She at least responds - stops reluctantly - and understands various phrases from 'NO BITING' to 'AAAAAAAAGGGGh!!!!'

I'm sure there's tiger in her ancestry Crying or Very sad

Then she'll be all gooey and loving when she's tired out

I haven't been here for a while. And the first thing I did was look for Rosie. Vivien, she is such a cutie. Will you put up a Christmas tree?

Misti, are you really putting one up? We would not dare with Nisse and Mysan around... :-)

yes urs I will put up a tree but no breakable baubles! Casey used to bat them round the room at night when we weren't there to stop her and there would be 2-3 broken each day!Rosie is so agile and energetic that nothing is safe!

Instead I've bought some beautiful iridescent lilac ribbons and silver and white and I'm going to decorate the tree with those.

I've been so busy that i haven't made a start yet - it will have to wait til next weekend. I had to collect the paintings from the end of an exhibition today - 4 sold so good news!

She's developed a passion for socks - she dashes around the house, flying over the sofas and up and down the stairs with a sock in her mouth, tossing it about and 'killing' it Rolling Eyes

She is totally trusting with himself and i but won't let anyone else stroke or pick her up - she hisses at them and swears (very unladylike language too)! She'll play with them and be friendly enough, but NO picking up she says!

Urs53, er yes ... Rae put it up today, and so far so good! I can't believe it myself!

Here's a picture, it's a little small, but less for the kitties to destroy! If it's still standing tomorrow morning, I'll eat my hat!

That's a cute little tree, Misti. And even a ladder for the cats to run up. Very good!

We will not have a tree. We spend Christmas eve at my sister's house. She always has a big tree. And I guess Hexe is just too lazy to do anything to that tree - well, I hope... I'll let you know!

And Misti - tell Rae I like the tree very much!

On Sunday, the kitties didn't bother with the tree ... I was astounded! However, on Monday morning when I got up, the trains were upside down, a couple of balls were broken into smithereens, the tree skirt looked like a rolled up dishtowel, and a very sheepish looking Lacey kind of sauntered out to the porch, head hung low, and every time she passed the tree she avoided looking at it.

Mighty guilty looking if yah ask me!!!

the tree is holding up well! she keeps playing with it but all the decorations this year are pretty unbreakable - i bought some lovely gauzy lilac ribbons and silver velvet ones and then just used icicles and tinsel and some little 'presents' - she plays with the icicles and the 'presents' (that are about inch cubes) - they end up all over the place but it's easy enough just to put them back. The breakable baubles are all safely away in their box.

I've been wrapping presents and she supervised closely.

David is just serving her chicken - warmed up just as she likes it Rolling Eyes

Piffka I love the cigar chewing hound!

pics of possum and mikey????? please?????

Rosie had her second lot of injections today and was as good as gold.

She has to go in to be spayed in a couple of weeks which will be really horrible Crying or Very sad I shall feel a complete monster. We have to do it as she goes out in the garden and we really can't have kittens! When she's older, in the Spring, we'll fit a cat flat in the door so she can come and go as she wants.

She's really a young lady now but still climbs the curtains to the top, leaps about and balances on narrow fences and can move like lightning.

Viv., having Rosie spayed is going to hurt you more than her ... isn't that what our parents always said???????????

She sounds like a regular little monkey, climbing the curtains, and doing her balancing acts! I would love to see that!

Now our Paddy is quite the opposite, a super duper klutz! He jumps from the desk to the table, and misses ...... walks off sneaking peeks at everyone to see if we're laughing! Another night he attempted to jump up on the counter, missed, and fell flat on his back! Oh Lord, it's so pathetic!

Lacey is very agile like Rosie, she's taught Paddy everything he knows ... he was lots worse before Lacey came to live with us:)

Possum has a cat flap - so he can go outside.

He won't open it himself, of course - he just hollers for me to open it. Each morning, I have to open it, and tie it up, or there's hell to pay! Confused

Love it!
Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Rosie is surpising unvocal - she never miaows for food, rarely purrs for long - she'll be cuddled up to you with a blissfully happy expression and curly paws - but no purring.

She lets out the occasional chirrup when she's playing and miaows for the first half mile in the car but is otherwise pretty silent. Confused

Having had 2 very chatty cats previously it seems odd. She has incredibly expressive body language and face so we can read her easily but some purring would be nice too.

She's curled up sleeping on a cushion next to the computer, keeping me company now Very Happy

Misti - Casey was hopeless with agility - she was a very very pretty but not too bright long haired tortoiseshell - a real Marilyn Monroe amongst cats, who got everything done for her by looking sweet and helpless and using the silent miaow to great advantage, when she wanted the door opened i swear she try to say 'out' - the miaow was a real miaooooow!

I bought a new toy for her yesterday - 2 sheepskin covered balls joined with a thick piece of soft cord. She LOVES them - you should see her juggling them, tossing them up in the air a couple of feet and catching them - they keep her amused for ages. I think she could join the circus! - clown, juggler and acrobat!

Unfortunately the digital camera is too slow to catch it - it has to focus and then take the picture - at the speed she moves at she's long gone by the time the shutter clicks. Youngest daughter borrowed my normal camera and hasn't yet returned it Evil or Very Mad

Kittens with toys are one of the earth's great delights.

Poss is quite vocal - you never have to wonder where you stand - you'll surely be told. And a great purrer!! As long as you follow instructions. Confused
