Viv, I think allowing Rose to sleep with you is a huge bonus for you! She will keep your feet warm, and snuggle closely, and keep you very cozy!
So, it was a good idea!
Oh Misti, you are positive as always. But you have to come and visit us and meet Nisse. Especially at night... He kept me awake last night for quite a while, the little devil. But yes - it is sooo wonderful if they snuggle up to me :-)
Urs, I would love to come visit you and take Nisse and Mysan for a ride in the car ... I keep threatening to do that with my two kitties cuz I feel bad they're always in the house, but at least they're outdoors on the porch, which they love!
Well Rosie has won! she wails pitifully (and very theatrically) if left downstairs so she's now given the run of the house all night. She's decided she likes to sleep under the bedclothes between David and I.
I'm sure she doesn't know she's a cat
Apart from wanting a fight and starting to chew my hand in the middle of the night she's been pretty good so it looks like continuing.
She loves to fight and is now learning a new phrase wailed in a plaintive voice ' I don't WANT to be bitten' - she seems to understand it and stops - with great regret!
I take her up to visit my parents regularly and she is getting used to it. She's pretty good in the car and wails just a tiny bit on the way and not at all on the way home - how do they know it's the return journey? Timmy and Casey were the same going to the vet - they'd howl all the way there and not a squeak coming home,
Once there she is spoilt rotten so i hope she comes to associate the car with nice trips as well as the vet. She can have her injections now so i have to book those in.
She's at the 'me Tarzan' stage, swinging from the curtains. She is really athletic and climbs and jumps anything .... vertical? - no problem to action cat. She's skinny and long long legged with a long thin tail. She'd rather play than eat anytime. Sometimes i have to con her into eating by popping a bit of dinner into her mouth while she's playing - then she thinks oh yes.... and maybe eats.
Viv., Rosie sounds so adorable .. just enjoy this kitty stage, you'll miss it when she gets older! If I had my way they would stay small and cute and rogueish for a lonnnnnnnng time!
Vivien, Rosie is absolutely adorable. I am very happy for all of you!
Viv., she doesn't know she's a cat ... but she knows she's loved a lot!
What a sweeeeeeeeeeeet looking baby! Aren't they wonderful as kittens?
petunia i looove your quote about housework!
I should add that I read it was a joke from Phyllis Diller.
Rosie looks so innocent in that photo but don't believe it - she's at that stage where she is all teeth and claws and wants to play just about every hour she's awake - galloping up and down stairs, swinging from the curtains, into bags, boxes and cupboards - bopping you through the banisters as you go upstairs, playing with a ball - she's better than Georgie Best, massacring her teddy, massacring ME ...
She's just climbed up onto himself's knee for a sleep so we've got a couple of hours of peace now.
< snicker, snicker >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ha hah hahahhahaha!
Oh, she knows she's a cat, alright. And the last thing a cat wants is equality.
oh how true - nothing less than worship will do - and we do - I think maybe she was Egyptian in a previous life?
She's gorgeous, Vivien! And she sounds like a lot of fun in her wild & wooly phase! Enjoy!
