" civilized world" here = Europe - that wonderful place where they still can't find the Serbian leaders of genocide in Croatia and Bosnia and where the industrialists who employed slave labor and those who helped or merely silently watched as the Jews in their midst were hauled off to extermination camps have enjoyed a very comfortable and peaceful life for decades after their crimes. The French of course have yet to deal with their own extermination camps in Algeria.

We should treat any such action taken by a third party nation against a former official of the U.S. government as a hostile act, meriting appropriate response.

I had never in my whole life played the role of unpaid advocate for any kind of barbaric politics.
Here i had quoted about the plight of a person who adorns the title of this thread.
Should I regret for highlighting the truth or exposing hypocracy?
