I saw 'Ombudsman' in the Red Eye on Fox News.
What does 'Red Eye' mean?
Many thanks.
Yoong Liat- The term "red eye" usually refers to an airplane flight that is in the late evening, or at night. The reference is, I believe, that at that time, people are tired, and their eyes are red.
I am not familiar with that show on Fox News. Is it on at night?
My question is what the word 'ombudsman' refers to in the context of Red Eye?

Now you've clarified, I found this:
"Mr. Levy's deadpan delivery didn't work in the frenzy of the hour long gab-fest, so he became the "Red Eye" ombudsman, appearing at the halfway mark of each show to comment on the first 30 minutes."

Does that crack it?

Hope that cracked it for you Yoong? I'd be pleased for any reactions you may have to my idol, Colbert, if happen to watch any time
Thanks, Truthyness. That helps.
