Which so the easiest to learn for an English speaker?
German
French
Danish
Sweedish
I studied 4yrs of French at school (long time ago) and found it easier to grasp than German - maybe that's beause it's harder to learn when you get older!
I don't knwo really, cu I'm not a native English, but I know many English ppl who find it easy to learn french than any other language.. German is a little bit comlicated with the difficult phonetic it has (for an English speaker)
"Sweedish" is the language of turnips maybe; the language spoken in Sweden is "Swedish".
English grammar has more in common with French than with any other grammar, although they are not, of course, identical. Additionally, the French language has given to English the largest share of vocabulary of any other language, and much of the Latin and Greek which is found in English came by way of French. I was able to teach myself to read French, unaided, when i was only 13 years old. Learning to speak the language, however, was quite a different kettle of fish.
