Bear- Once I retired, I put away my "unconditional positive regard" hat back into the closet, once and for all. Now I can be as abrasive as I want! Evil or Very Mad

Have been a probation officer, youthworker, sexual education teacher, university lecturer, co-ordinataor for an immigrant location, and lead the last couple of years a therapeutic living community for handicapped (younger) persons.

Kind of retired now, using a bit my history degree and my camera ...

Painter on movies and TV

When I'm not working on the above, I'm still doing the same things, ranging from simple carpentry, drywall hanging and finishing, wood stripping, paint, and as little faux finishing as I can....among other things.

Also have history with floral work... grew up in the business.
Worked for a party production company too. I ran the Art Department.

I have a T-shirt with "No, I will not fix your computer" emblazoned on it.

I plan to get more copies, just as soon as they make it in something other than black.

I'd like to get that t-shirt. My hubby does repair computers and I think that would be kinda funny. Where'd you get it?

He's a geek but a foxy-looking geek. Very Happy

I have to get this for E.G.:

He was soooooo thrilled when he was root. He isn't anymore at his new job I don't think so it may be too dated, but I endured so much crowing about it. ("Do you understand what this means? ROOT!")

That's what he would say to me. I understood by this time.

Well, sort of. It's ubergeekdom. Something about being the computer guy who has access to a whole network and could basically do anything if he didn't have scruples but since he does he just maintains the network.

Or something.

(He's not a computer guy, he's a scientist, but the network at his office was messed up and he taught himself how to do this stuff, which most people need, like, training for. He's a lot like Craven that way. They'd either like each other a lot or hate each other, I haven't quite figured that out...)

my test results showed : PLEASURE SEEKER (and i'm not kidding !) .
my boss thought that i had not understood the questions , but i knew that i had understood them very well Laughing .
that's been my lifestyle .

Well, I'm a work in progress. I've been:

a condo strata agent

a mining camp cook

a marketing and investor relations person for several mining companies

an art teacher

a live-in personal attendant for an elderly woman

a leisure and activity worker in a retirement home

a Personal Assistant to the President in three companies

a University Education Coordinator for a core medical department

a project deficiency list coordinator for a developer

in my youth, I sold velvet paintings on the streets, sold flowers at liquour stores, stained closet doors, worked at a gas station (when it was .62 a gallon!), cooked in a cafe, was an underage cocktail waitress in a nightclub, you name it...

Smile
